The founder of 55Plus Equity Release, Jan developed it into one of the most successful, award-winning, sole-trader over 55 equity release scheme businesses in Britain by always putting her clients first. She’s now expanding 55Plus Equity Release so we can help even more people realise their dreams through honest, transparent advice. The winner of the National Equity Release Best Sole Trader Award in 2015 and a Finalist in the same category in 2017, she led 55Plus Equity Release to being a finalist in the Best Financial Adviser, 5 Advisers or Less category in 2018. These awards come from delivering excellent service and advice consistently: in the 30 years that Jan has specialised in financial services she has offered unrivalled levels of personal service and tailored solutions to meet her clients’ needs. Previously with Banco Santander for nearly 25 years, there is not much Jan doesn’t know about mortgages of all shapes and sizes, but for your added peace of mind she is CeRER Adv CeMAP qualified and is a member of the Equity Release Council.
With more than 40 years’ experience growing businesses, Adrian is our Business Development Director. His role is to realise sustainable growth that is aligned with our core values of honesty and integrity. He is also responsible for developing systems and processes that support our advisers in delivering consistently excellent customer service. A chartered surveyor by training – and a pianist and composer in his spare time – Adrian brings strategic thinking, an eye for detail and dogged determination. He is particularly interested in hearing from advisers and professional associates – financial planners and wealth managers, solicitors, mortgage brokers, home care companies and home improvement companies – who, like us, put their clients at the heart of everything they do.

Brian has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial services sector. In his first role with Abbey Life Insurance Company Ltd, he quickly rose to become one of their top-performing advisers, a position he maintained for a decade by building successful long-term relationships with clients and offering first-class advice.
Brian ran his own financial services company for 11 years, before setting up a financial services recruitment firm. In 2016, he moved back to giving financial advice direct to customers, passing his equity release exams at the same time and becoming a member of the Equity Release Council. For the last four years he has specialised in helping people aged 55 and over realise their retirement dreams through equity release schemes.
Mike has over 41 years’ experience in the financial services industry, and has been advising on equity release for over 20 of them, joining the Equity Release Council in 2012. At one point during his career, Mike owned his own successful equity release firm, but realised that his real passion was in forming vital client relationships and giving valuable advice, not in the admin involved in running a company. It’s this rapport that Mike builds with his clients, as well as his belief in creating business built on integrity and transparency, which makes him such a valuable adviser. Based in Scotland, Mike’s other great passion is Rotary, and he is the secretary of his local club. If he’s not working on equity release or Rotary, you can find Mike listening to good music – particularly progressive rock – or watching sport.
‘The application process was quick and easy with the occasional ‘wrinkle’ being ironed-out by the adviser’s hard work and expertise.’L King, successful over 55 equity release applicant, London
